Album: Matt Black – Oak Street Market
Matt Black is a Michigan based MC and producer. Black honed his skills in the Midwest music scene by performing frequently in Detroit, Kalamazoo, Grand Rapids and Chicago. His album Oak Street Market is the latest release from grassroots Hip-hop/electronic label Young Heavy Souls. Sonically, the album blends a dreamy aesthetic with soul beats and glitches. The music ranges from throwback styles to new-school hip-hop, flavored with future beat and electro influences. Black delivers his lyrics with wit and strong compositional skill.
