Both former Scribble Jam Battle finalists, Mega Ran and Storyville return to their battle-rap roots in a trippy high-tech visual directed by Luis Perez and Ben Levy. On “Artillery”, Ran and Story drop punchline after impressive punchline over a hypnotic soulful loop, produced by Small Pro. Available on iTunes, their collaborative album Soul Veggies debuted last week at #47 on the Billboard Indie Charts.

Produced by Alex Minor, Mega Ran’s new track “Losses” is a heartfelt lifeline to anyone who’s lost anything or anyone to the high-stakes game of the streets.  Ran recruits heavyweight Joell Ortiz of Slaughterhouse and West Coast indie rap hero MURS, and tops it off with a soulful chorus by Arizona songstress Tina Estes, making “Losses” a vast departure from the video-game tinged tracks the Philly artist been known for as of late. “Losses” is the lead off for Mega Ran’s upcoming EP Wouldn’t Miss It For The World.  Be on the lookout for Wouldn’t Miss It For The World coming this spring as a free download.
