Return of the Mack star Mark Morrison has delivered the official visual for his new single “N.A.N.G. 2.0” featuring Crooked I of Slaughterhouse, and Slip-n-Slide Records emerging songstress Shonie. Morrison will release a new full length album in 2014, accompanied by his first world-wide tour.
Brand new single from singer Mark Morrisonbest known for the hit “Return of the Mack”, once again teaming with Slaughterhouse’s Crooked I, and Slip-n-Slide/Def Jam’s emerging songstress Shonie, to take a stand on domestic violence. “N.A.N.G. 2.0.” shines a spotlight on women suffering due to domestic abuse. Inspired by Morrison’s cousin, who was housed by UK national charity REFUGE during an abusive relationship. The single will be released digitally worldwide on October 1st, 2013, which is also National Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM) in the United States. Morrison is expected to release his third studio album I Am What I Am early next year.
Best-known for his 1996 hit Return of the Mack, Morrison hasn’t released any music since 2006′s Innocent Man featuring DMX. His long awaited return comes in the form of “I Am What I Am”, a hugely soulful ballad of self-belief with visuals to match. “I Am What I Am” is the title track from Morrison’s upcoming third album. The music video includes cameos from fellow British soul-stars Omar, Don-E and Noel McKoy.
