Album: The Hitmen Present: The Best of Awkword

With production from Harry Fraud, Blended Babies, Domingo, Anno Domini, The Audible Doctor, Teck-Zilla and many more, The Hitmen and ItsBizkit.com present a 26-track project featuring unreleased, rare and hit singles from Awkword. Keep an eye out for the Delegation of Sound produced “Whose Streets?“, which was a part of the World Wide mixtape released here on NHDub. Track: Skyzoo, Rapper Big Pooh and Awkword – Cruel Intentions (prod. by Jakk Wonders)

The lead single “Cruel Intentions”, from the Kyle W. Knapp Creative presented #PTheWyseVol2 tribute album, is produced by South Africa’s Jakk Wonders with bars from Skyzoo, Rapper Big Pooh and AWKWORD. With DJ Fonz Solo on the cuts, 100% of the proceeds from these releases are being donated to the family of the late, great Earl Patrick McNease aka Praverb aka P the Wyse.

Mixtape: NHDub – World Wide

We at NHDub are extremely excited to announce that we have finally concluded our latest venture, the World Wide mixtape. The mission of the project was to pair MCs and producers that regularly contribute to all the wonderful sounds that you hear daily on NHWWW. Truly a “world wide” experience, we have compositions from some of the best beatmakers and lyricists on the planet. World Wide features the sounds of British beat composer Motel Eola, South African producer C-Rock Beats, as well as Trill Gates Beats and Eli Saf from the American side of the Atlantic along with many more producers. Notable artists such Awkword, Eazy Steve & J.O., $osa, CuzOH!, Kaddie Lak, Simile and newcomers INCrowd, Kenny Bryant, Hapless, 10 MP and more are on tap.

Previously unreleased, Awkword digs into the vault to pull out “Aint Yo”. With unknown production and an unfinished hook from Blended Babies-affiliate Whatzisface, Awk shows how far he has come since this freestyle track that was recorded 10 years ago. Album: SHI 360 and DJ Booth Present – Jewish Rap Stars

 

 Israeli Hip-Hop: Jewish Rap Stars (Vol. Beit) is now available for free stream and download via DJBooth.net. In an effort to “put global Jewish hip hop on the map,” AWKWORD and Kosha Dillz appear along side lesser known acts such as Isaac Miracles, JO & Baruch, Talent Display and the most popular artist currently in Israel, Nechi Nech. The new 12-track compilation album, executive produced by SHI 360, features production from dominant1, Roy Nizzani, Prodezra Beats, and many more.

During a recent interview Awkword was asked to come up with a quick 16 bars on the subject of college. Instead Awkword snowballed the idea into “The Ivory Tower“, blanketing the US education system as a whole. Produced by Dominant1,  “The Ivory Tower” is one of a number of collaborations with African MCs and producers you can keep an eye out for from AWKWORD in 2015.

Well known and highly regarded in the online hip hop community, the loss of Praverb was a definite shock. Earl Patrick McNease, also known as P the Wyse, was popular not only for his truth-telling rhymes but for his graciousness, honesty, kindness and humility. Long-time Praverb affiliates AWKWORD, Kev Turner, DJ Grazzhoppa and LX Beats join Praverb for his last song “All A Dream”, a tribute to P featuring the man himself, with all proceeds going to benefit his widow and their young son.

When I first opened up NHWWW to submissions it was difficult to get the word out until I found Praverb’s Ultimate Hip-Hop Blog Directory. After leaving a comment asking if I could be added to the list, Praverb almost instantly added me to the directory; the day that NHWWW took off. This was the first memory that popped into my mind after I heard the news of Praverb’s passing, as I will always be thankful for what he has done for myself, but the hip hop culture in general.
